HR Generalist

We are looking for an energetic HR Generalist to work within our Human Resources team and be an integral part of the day to day operations for Block.one.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact every employee’s experience by performing activities across HR functions, including benefits, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation and employment law compliance.  You will work closely with management and cross-functional teams in all locations to create an engaging experience for all employees.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Partners with the HR Manager on day-to-day business activities in support of all Block.one employees.

  • Identifies, communicates and problem-solves employee relations issues.

  • Manages employee performance management and benefits administration.

  • Actively participates in staff meetings and strategy sessions.

  • Acts as a resource to employees and managers on all aspects of organizational effectiveness.

  • Oversees the new-hire onboarding program to ensure a great new hire experience.

  • Maintains all employment records by utilizing the company’s HRIS, Workday.

  • Assists with the administration of human resource policies and procedures.

  • Assures the company is compliant with all applicable state and federal laws, rules and policies.

  • Partners with managers to find opportunities to develop and retain people to achieve their fullest potential.

  • Provides suggestions and support with activities that drive employee engagement, learning and development.

  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.

  • Oversees day to day interactions with vendors and external partners.

  • Completes special projects and objectives, conducts research, develops and organizes information and delivers results.

  • Builds and maintains a strong team through coaching and mentoring.

  • Performs other related duties and activities as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication or related field.

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential is a plus.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite and Workday.

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist.

  • Experience working in a startup culture is preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a professional, positive, courteous manner. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions requiring applications of judgment based on the knowledge of policies, procedures, and operating practices.

  • Sense of urgency with the ability to respond and follow through on projects in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.

  • Professional demeanor with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong knowledge of employment law .

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, interact and cooperate with staff at all levels of the organization.
