Senior Engineering Manager

Our Hong Kong-based engineering team is building a team in the Block.one's new Arlington, VA office. The Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for growing and managing a large software development team, and building out products and infrastructure to support our growing Blockchain Hosting business. Reporting to the VP, Operations in Hong Kong, you will build and support a team of developers and product operations staff.

Responsibilities:

• Build a team in the US to support a growing global business
• Take products and projects from conceptualization to deployment
• Continuously improve software engineering practices; lead the availability, resilience, and scalability of our solutions
• Encourages innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, and self-organization
• Provides technical leadership to teams and drive engineering excellence
• Work with recruiting team to attract, onboard, and retain top talent

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience managing software development teams
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred
• Experience managing engineering teams with 10+ team members
• Proven track record of developing and growing software development teams
• Experienced in coaching, leading, and mentoring developers

• Possess excellent communication and reasoning skills
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Have a sense of intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning
• Ability to think critically and independently
• Experience working for a global organization or experience within a startup environment a plus
